The aims and objectives for R&R Music is to offer a true alternative to the existing structures within the music industry. This reflects the desire to ensure that everyone involved, particularly the artists and writers have a creative framework in which to develop their writing talents. At the same time, it is vital to ensure that R&R has a necessary and robust framework for securing publishing income and exploitation of its creative product.

Publishing and Performance Income Streams
The development of robust systems in conjunction with PRS and VPL and other relevant bodies to ensure the registration and protection of copyright of creative sound and video works. This is to ensure that income streams for R&R are established and well maintained. Sub-publishing and administrative arrangements will be put in place to support this.
 
Exploitation of Creative Works
To achieve a high profile in publishing terms for R&R’s creative product. R&R will be represented at major promotional events such as MIDEM and secure opportunities to fully exploit work through worldwide licensing and sub-publishing arrangements. To also secure co-operation with other media outlets such as iTunes.
 
Writer and Product Development
To take a holistic and innovative view of creative writer development. To offer support to and create opportunities for R&R artists/writers to achieve their full potential and achieving goals. To create an environment where R&R can source hit songs and attract top writers to support its artists.
 
Writers Pool
art of R&R’s strategy to deliver a high-quality product will be the development of a
writer’s pool.
The development of R&R’s existing artists and writers will be paramount but
there may be a need to supplement this with external writers for two main
reasons:
  • To provide additional hit songs and creative expertise where required.
  • To provide development opportunities for existing R&R writers to work
with others.
The Director of Publishing will develop external links and build a pool of
interested writers who may be called upon by R&R.
R&R will aim to be a place where writers want to be! We
aim to attract the freshest young talent and also the established
hitmakers!
 
This would give R&R the ability to allocate writers to a variety of
projects and ensure that publishing royalties are secured on anything produced
by a given writer, whether commissioned by R&R or another party.
